Parker, the founder of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., exemplified. This award celebrates women who not only excel in their careers but also contribute significantly to their communities.

Nomination Period:

January 31, 2025 – February 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM (MST)

Nomination Submission Deadline:

February 14, 2025, by 12:00 PM (MST)

Announcement of Local Winner:

March 2025

Regional Competition:

April 2025

(Regional Conference, Las Vegas, NV)

National Competition:

July 2025

(National Convention, Washington, D.C.)

Nomination Process

Eligibility

The candidate must be a woman actively engaged in the business or professional sector with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and community impact within the Phoenix Metropolitan area. The nominee should demonstrate excellence in her business or professional field, exemplify dedication to the community, and possess a history of mentorship and service.

Nomination Submission

Nominations will only be accepted through the online nomination form. The nomination form link will be available on the Zeta Kappa Chapter’s social media platforms starting January 30, 2025.

  1. Information Required To nominate a candidate for the Lola M. Parker Achievement Award, please provide the following information:

    Nominee’s Information:

    Name, email address, phone number, business or professional title, and organization/business name.

    Accomplishments:

    A detailed (max 500 words) description of why the nominee deserves the award. This should include achievements in business, leadership, community impact, and other areas of significance.

    Supporting Documentation:

    A professional headshot of the nominee, relevant publications, or any materials that demonstrate the nominee’s contributions and achievements.

    Promotion

    Nominations will be promoted on the Zeta Kappa Chapter’s social media platforms throughout the nomination period to encourage wide participation and recognition of outstanding candidates.

    Selection Committee

    A committee of members from the Zeta Kappa Chapter will review all submitted nominations. The committee will evaluate nominees based on:

      • Leadership in business and professional excellence

      • Contributions to community development and service

      • Mentorship, advocacy, and role as a positive influence to others

      • Dedication to maintaining high ethical standards

    Announcement of Local Winner

    The recipient of the Lola M. Parker Achievement Award at the local level will be announced in March 2025 via social media. The announcement will include a photo of the awardee and a summary of her accomplishments and impact.

    Regional Competition

    The local winner will proceed to compete as the Outstanding Businesswoman of the Year at the Regional level in April 2025.

    The regional competition will provide an opportunity to showcase the accomplishments of outstanding businesswomen in the region.

    National Competition

    The regional winner will proceed to the National competition at the National Convention in Washington, D.C., July 2025 to compete for the National Outstanding Business Woman of the Year award.

    Award

    The Lola M. Parker Achievement Award recipient at the local level will receive a commemorative award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to her field and community.
